Copy-of-TATT-Header-1

Jillian chose 10 Ways to Beat the Rainy Day Blues from Ten at the Table. “I chose this post because it’s been pretty rainy around my area, and I’m always looking for new and fun things to do to spice up a boring, rainy day.”

DIY-laundry-room-shelf-

Meghan chose DIY Laundry Room Shelf from Latte Everyday. “This is an excellent idea for a wasted space above the washer and dryer. When we were looking at model homes at different communities, the laundry room was always immaculately staged. I always said I wanted my laundry room to look like one of those rooms, but who has the time and money to fix a laundry room up? Especially since it is a room that isn’t used by anyone other than myself. I love this idea for storage and even decor. I am definitely going to be doing this!”

bathtub toys

Bernadyn chose Deciding What to Keep and What to Let Go from Normal Everyday Life. “I chose this because it made me realize that one day, my kids will also stop playing with toys in the tub and I’ll actually be sad when there are not toys cluttering every space of the house! This was a bittersweet post that you can relate to as a parent. It makes me want to cherish these crazy, messy years with my two little ones even more.”

SONY DSC

Dorothy chose Random Parenting Fails, 2nd Edition from Ripped Jeans & Bifocals. “Every parent has small, random fails or even white lies that make them feel guilty, so it’s always nice to be reassured that there are other parents making mistakes too 🙂 This post was short and cute. I loved it.”

Get Paid to Test Products

Sonya chose How You Can Become a Product Tester and Get Paid to Test Products at Home from Product Review Mom. “This post lists lots of companies that will pay you to test their products. This is a must read for anyone interested in learning ways of making money from home.”

Ft Wayne Hween and turkey craft 031

Tina chose Funghetto velenoso * Little, poisonous mushroom from Caseperlatesta. “Super cute idea, great costume.A beautiful costume for all those DIY mommies out there!!!I love the hat!!”

before kids

Natasha chose Things I Thought Before I Had Kids! from Leah Inspired. “Love this post! It’s so true – I had so many thoughts before I had my son, now I know so much better. And the biggest thing is the TV – I was so insistent upon limiting TV use for my son, now I don’t know what we would do without it! You’ve inspired me to write my own post about this very topic!”

DIY chalkboard wine glasses from the Dollar Store {step by step guide} from The Wedding by Jen

Facebook-Share-Template1

A couple weeks ago, I gave you all a look into a little black dress bridal shower that was thrown for my best friend. I showed that for the shower game, we had a wine tasting. It seemed to be very well received by all of the guests! For me, I had a blast getting the game ready and that included making these really cute {and inexpensive} chalkboard wine glasses. Not only did they serve purpose during the wine tasting game, but they doubled as party favors for each guest to take home. As promised earlier, here is my step-by-step guide at how I created them!

Frumpy is a state of mind from Confessions of a Frumpy Mom

2014-04-09 11.39.31

A few of my friends and/or readers have told me they don’t consider me frumpy. Thank YOU! I truly appreciate that and then I thought about it. First, anyone who is friends with me on Facebook has a somewhat biased view of my “frumpiness” because I typically wouldn’t post a pic of me in all my frumpy glory (though I have unluckily been tagged in a few – thank you “friends”). The other thing is that while I may not always appear frumpy, sometimes it’s more about how I feel about how I look.

How a Mom Enjoys Her Coffee in 97 Steps from Three Boys and a Mom

wpid-0911141124 I’ve never been a, “I have to have my coffee or I can’t function” type person. Thank God. I do enjoy coffee though, and have learned it certainly helps as a sleep deprived mom of 3. It’s a rare day I get to actually drink the coffee though, and I usually have about 4 half empty, or half full if you want to be an optimist, cups of coffee spread throughout the house. Here’s how drinking coffee typically goes in this house. (Mind you, MANY steps of the day are missing. This is just a generalized run down of the coffee drinking process.)

Have you ever browned butter? I have just recently been introduced to brown butter from a friend who is well-versed in it. Not anymore!

Top Ten Honeycrisp Apple Recipes from Pins & Procrastination

honeycrisp-apple-recieps-title

It’s beginning to feel a lot like fall… and I’m excited. It’s not about the pumpkins, or sweaters, or not sweating the second you step outside. For me, fall is all about the honeycrisp apple. If you’ve never eaten a honeycrisp, you are missing out on life. I pretty much don’t want to eat anything else. They are so perfectly crispy and sweet. When honeycrisps aren’t in season, I have a hard time eating apples. They have ruined all other apples for me. They are everything an apple should be.

I needed a new activity to do on my spare time in between my son’s naps and taking care of my siblings. I love writing and creating new things! Which makes this the perfect place to share affordable creative ideas of mine that floats into my head. When you can’t find something that suits you perfectly then create it! Barbie Bieber and Beyond – Raising Girls About Me “Hi everyone!!!!! I am a Mum to 4 girls ranging in age from 6 to 16 years of age. I live in Sydney Australia with my husband and girls which provide me with many challenges in day to day life. We are a very close family who try to have some fun everyday while navigating the ins and outs of problems that many families in todays society face. Girls have their own unique set of challenges and having 4 scattered over a period of 10 years I am navigating all the different challenges from child, tween to teen all at the one time. That can be very daunting and scary at times but also I think it places me in an interesting position to be able to write from all aspects of girls through childhood and on to adolescents. I started blogging to give me another outlet during my day, with my youngest off to school next year I am faced with not having a child in the house during school hours, something I have not dealt with in over 15 years! So what better way than to share my insights into girls and maybe pass on some valuable tips and tricks to fellow Mums. I am open to all sorts of questions, but be aware that all opinions are just those, opinions!!! I don’t profess to know everything about girls, what person does??? especially the teenage girl! However if we can share our ideas together maybe things may not seem so hard sometimes.”

As a single mom, I have a VERY special bond with him and I just love watching him learn and grow. I am a foodie, and nutrition fanatic which leads to some serious “should I or shouldn’t I” anxiety. I work full-time as a Managing Director for a boutique staffing company. I love to write, blog and vlog. I am passionate about sharing my heart and story with strangers. Sounds weird but, true. I started this blog because I believe sharing truth, struggle and triumph is what builds true relationships. I want to share from my heart in hopes of helping someone to step out of their solitude or feel a sense of belonging. I also have felt the Lord tugging at my heart to be bold in initiating more relationships and building a community. I pray that I will be transparent and create open communication with readers like you. In this blog there will be DIY posts, posts about party planning, love, parenting, faith, struggles, empowerment, fashion, beauty, food and anything else that I feel called to write about. I hope that I can help, teach, comfort, lend an idea or become a friend as I document this Wilde life!”

I started my very first blog forever ago during my first year of law school – at the suggestion of my grandmother, of all people, so that she (and other family members) could keep up with my 180 in life (going from starving artist to starving law student). That was back when people would ask, “what’s a blog?” After 1L, I kind of let the blog dwindle. Then I started a new one where I mostly ended up sharing recipes. It wasn’t until I got pregnant and started this blog, that I started regularly posting again. This blog is about my adventures in working mommyhood. I tend to post about once a week, sometimes more – but I am a working mom and sometimes (ok, often) life gets in the way. I’d love to write even more, and have made several resolutions in the past to write more often, which I’ll do for about a week or two – and then I’ll go a week and a half without posting anything . . . such is the life of a busy working mom.”
