Here are the Featured posts from last week!
Jillian chose 10 Ways to Beat the Rainy Day Blues from Ten at the Table. “I chose this post because it’s been pretty rainy around my area, and I’m always looking for new and fun things to do to spice up a boring, rainy day.”
Meghan chose DIY Laundry Room Shelf from Latte Everyday. “This is an excellent idea for a wasted space above the washer and dryer. When we were looking at model homes at different communities, the laundry room was always immaculately staged. I always said I wanted my laundry room to look like one of those rooms, but who has the time and money to fix a laundry room up? Especially since it is a room that isn’t used by anyone other than myself. I love this idea for storage and even decor. I am definitely going to be doing this!”
Bernadyn chose Deciding What to Keep and What to Let Go from Normal Everyday Life. “I chose this because it made me realize that one day, my kids will also stop playing with toys in the tub and I’ll actually be sad when there are not toys cluttering every space of the house! This was a bittersweet post that you can relate to as a parent. It makes me want to cherish these crazy, messy years with my two little ones even more.”
Dorothy chose Random Parenting Fails, 2nd Edition from Ripped Jeans & Bifocals. “Every parent has small, random fails or even white lies that make them feel guilty, so it’s always nice to be reassured that there are other parents making mistakes too 🙂 This post was short and cute. I loved it.”
Sonya chose How You Can Become a Product Tester and Get Paid to Test Products at Home from Product Review Mom. “This post lists lots of companies that will pay you to test their products. This is a must read for anyone interested in learning ways of making money from home.”
Rhonda chose Skeletons In My Closet! from What Happens at Grandma’s. “This post contains tons of Halloween crafts for kids that are unique and quite crafty. Did I mention spooky! Great way to spend time with the kids and get in the spirit of Halloween!”
Elina chose Glittered Fall Leaves DIY from Typically Simple. “This project stood out for me cause it shows you how to recreate those glittered leaves you find in the stores. These would be the perfect addition to any fall wreath or tablescape. And I can picture these as cute napkin rings or on placecards. The possibilities are endless.”
Cathy chose Simple Homemade Caramel from Luv a Bargain. “Sherri has made delicious, creamy caramel using her crock pot! I pinned this amazing recipe to try! I am excited to dip an apple slice into this homemade caramel! Check out Sherri’s easy and yummy way to make homemade caramel!”
Stacey also chose this post. “I have been wanting to try out making my own caramel, especially now with apple season in full swing! I am definitely going to give this one a try! Thank you so much for sharing!!”
Natasha chose Things I Thought Before I Had Kids! from Leah Inspired. “Love this post! It’s so true – I had so many thoughts before I had my son, now I know so much better. And the biggest thing is the TV – I was so insistent upon limiting TV use for my son, now I don’t know what we would do without it! You’ve inspired me to write my own post about this very topic!”

Before you become a parent, there is usually a list of things you say you’ll never do. That list looks different for every one, but I’m pretty sure grabbing poop with your bare hand doesn’t even make the cut. It’s just not something you’d think would be necessary to specify on a list of things you’ll never do.
This delicious sandwich by Giada De Laurentiis is an ideal appetizer or lunch. Simply follow her recipe below and enjoy! I did substitute pepperoni for the prosciutto and I rolled the dough into a rectangle rather than a circle.
The pizza dough is often found in the deli or bakery department of most grocery stores. You can now find gluten free pizza dough as well in some stores.
I feel a little like Ray Liotta in Good Fellas. As far back as I can remember, I’ve been a coffee addict. These days, coffee is like a religion in my household. I have several coffee machines, all varying degrees of effort, status, and needs.

These candies are out of this world delicious, and they are pretty easy to make. Be warned though, that the process does get a bit messy, but the result it worth it. They are delightful mix of semisweet chocolate, salty peanut butter and crisp, buttery crackers. Pure goodness that makes it hard to just eat one.
The magic of summer has been replaced with backpacks, football, leaves changing colors, and pumpkin flavored EVERYTHING! The end of summer doesn’t have to equal the end of fun. Here is a list of fun fall activities you can do with your toddler to keep the magic alive!
I’ve found that a lot of furniture in our home is dark…whether wood or fabric. Most of the time it’s nice to have these hearty pieces, but sometimes it can darken the mood a bit. So to keep things fresh and summery year round, I decided to make over this sad little dresser I picked up at the Habitat for Humanity ReStore.
It’s September and that means apple season! Apples are by far a favorite around our house. There are so many ways to use them, appetizers to salads, or main dishes to desserts! I have gathered up a list of some of our favorites. Hope you enjoy going through these. Go ahead and pin some of them when you hover over the picture with the pop up pinterest button.
Can I be honest? I am a little jealous of my friends who are grandparents. They post pictures of their grandchildren, just gushing with the kind of pride that only a grandma or grandpa could exude. I look at those pictures and look at how much fun they seem to be having and I admit – I am jealous.
