Happy Sunday, friends!
I apologize for being mostly absent this past week. It’s been another week full of home drama, and like usual, I withdrew into myself so that I didn’t bring my negativity here. I am really yearning to feel settled and happy, and I’m really struggling because it just seems like one thing after another keeps happening, and it just sucks.
Despite having a cruddy week, I worked hard to make this a nice weekend, and I succeeded. I’ll tell you all about in tomorrow’s post. For today, I’ll be sharing my delicious meal plan for the week. It was actually pretty easy to throw together this week, I haven’t really eaten that healthy this weekend, and I really want to get some fresh veggies in my body, which made the planning easy.
And now, my Weekly Meal Plan
Sunday: Meatloaf (with GF breadcrumbs) & baked potatoes
Monday: Steak Chick Pea & Tomato Salad (I can’t get enough of this)
Tuesday: Teriyaki Salmon & Asparagus
Wednesday: Scrounge Around the House
Thursday: BBQ Pulled Pork
Friday: Homemade Pizza
Saturday: Mexican Naan Pizza
While it was easy to put together our meal plan for the week, we are stuck in such a rut. We just seem to keep repeating the same meals over and over again. I know there’s nothing wrong with that, but I see everyone else’s menu and they look so tasty. I guess I could start by pinning or bookmarking some of those recipes. 🙂
Today I’m linking up with Laura from Mommy, Run Fast and Jill from jillconyers.com
So sorry about the rough week! I know- it can be very hard to break out of a rut. I think just started with one different meal a week is a good goal and plenty of work (getting the right groceries, finding the recipe, etc). Hope things start falling together for you soon!
Thanks, Laura! I hope so too. I’m trying really hard not to be a negative netty because it does no good. It’s just so hard when things in my living space suck so hard. I think next week when we meal plan, we’ll aim to try one new recipe. That’s a really great idea!!
I definitely get stuck in ruts for meal planning…sometimes I’m too lazy to branch out and try a new recipe, but what I love about the linkup is that I can get inspired by what other people are eating! I hope you have happier days ahead!
That’s so true, Janelle! I need to get better of keeping track of new meal ideas. I’ll see something new and then forget to write it down or Pin it. By the time Sunday rolls around, I’ve forgotten it. Whoops! I need to get better at that. Thanks so much for visiting!!
