Is it really Sunday and time for my meal plan already?
I go back to work tomorrow, guys. I don’t wanna. It’s been a pretty good week of vacation but not nearly as relaxing as I thought it would be (more to come on that later). I did a lot of networking for my blog, some family fun stuff (post coming soon), and then some lounging on the couch, but I just couldn’t manage to keep work off of my mind. I just kept stressing out about everything that I will need to get back to when I return on Monday. Not fun at all.
Oh well, enough about work. So I mentioned that things weren’t as relaxing as I thought, here’s why; on Friday we received a letter from our landlords stating that they will be selling the house, and that we can remain on the premises until the end of April, or longer if the new owner is so inclined. We don’t know who the new owner will be or whether they’ll want to keep the house as rental units so we’re being forced to move. This isn’t an entirely bad thing, we should probably look for something larger anyway, but the time constraints are what concern us. We both work full-time, and people seem to only want to show their apartments on week nights, but we’ll make it work. We’ve just been kind of stressing out finding places to look at and figuring out when we’ll manage to pack and clean. So you better believe I’ll be taking you all along on our journey! 🙂
And now…
My Weekly Meal Plan
Sunday: Manicotti with Garlic bread
Monday: Out – We’re going to view an apartment so we’ll grab dinner on the road
Tuesday: Leftover BBQ Pulled Pork
Wednesday: Baked Chicken, Cauliflower and Garlic Naan
Thursday: Pollo Asada (roll over from last week)
Friday: Homemade Steak Sandwiches
Saturday: Out
There are some seriously yummy meals lined up for the week. I love weeks like this!!
Weekly Workout Plan
I need to workout, my stress level is out of control and the only thing that truly helps is a good workout. Going at night just does not work for me. I get home with Emmett and all I can think about is spending time with him, not jetting off to the gym, so I need to either workout in the mornings, before work, or during lunch.
This week I would like to focus on getting to the gym 4 times, all in the mornings.
Monday: 45 to 60 minutes on the elliptical or treadmill
Tuesday: 45 to 60 minutes on the elliptical or treadmill
Wednesday: 45 to 60 minutes on the elliptical or treadmill
Thursday: 45 to 60 minutes on the elliptical or treadmill
Friday: Off
Saturday: gym time, but activity TBD
Sunday: gym time, but activity TBD.
I know there aren’t any strength workouts, but I need to get to the gym. That’s my goal, first and foremost – I can tweak what I do later.
That about does it! Today I’m linking up with Mommy Run Fast, and her Weekly Meal Plan link-up. Join us!
It’s still messy and snowy here, so I’m planning on the gym a few times this week, too. Hope the apartment hunting works out with minimal stress!
Thanks, Laura! We have a couple places we’re seeing, hopefully one of them works out. 🙂
I have not had manicotti in years, and it was always one of my favorites! The winter is such a de-motivator when it comes to working out. Hope you meet your goals for the week!
Hi Janelle – Thanks so much for visiting!! I love manicotti, it’s just not very healthy.
Hi Jillian, from a new reader! I co-host the menu planning link up with Laura and wanted to say thank you for joining. My workout week is 6 days of strength training and 4 days of running, hopefully outside!
I hope finding a new home and moving all works out with as little stress as possible!
Hi Jill! Thanks so much for stopping by. That’s a lot of strength training! I struggle with staying motivated when I strength train. I just do not enjoy it. Good luck on your week! 🙂
